Jamestown Man Sentenced to 5 Years for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance

On Tuesday July 30th, Alex Johnson, age 23, of Jamestown, was sentenced by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentenced of 5 years with 2 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony.

In November 2022, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Mr. Johnson’s residence and located a quantity of fentanyl.

Mr. Johnson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, he pled guilty to the reduced charge in April 2024.

The DA would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department for their work on this case. This case was prosecuted by ADA Erik Bentley.
