The Mission of the Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services (OFAS) is to guide, connect, and advocate for long-term services and supports to help older adults remain in their community.  We promote independence, optimal health, and wellness in safe and secure environments so that our older adults can be equipped and informed to age well at home.

 

There are so many different reasons to reach out to Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services:

  • You may find that you are having difficulty doing simple tasks around your house, such as laundry, meal preparation or household chores.  
  • You may be feeling lonely and want opportunities to connect with others.
  • You might be caring for an elderly parent and find that you are having a hard time doing it by yourself.  
  • You may have questions about Medicare or Medicaid. 
  • You may want to learn more about planning for your future.  

 

Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services can help guide with experience to connect you with resources.  We are the local leader in aging well at home.    Our main intake line, NY Connects, can link you to long term services and supports at 716-753-4582.

We manage a variety of programs and services, 
authorized by statues such as the Older Americans Act (OAA)  
with oversight from the Administration for Community Living (ACL) and NYS Office for Aging Services (NYSOFA).  

 

The New York State Office for Aging Services (NYSOFA) works with a network of 59 Area Agencies on Aging, like Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services, and over 1,200 community partners to provide New York's 4.8 million older adults with a range of community-based services and supports.
