Legal and Financial

Office for the Aging provides limited legal assistance through a contract with Legal Assistance of WNY, ( formerly Southern Tier Legal Services). Our contract covers mainly landlord/lease issues and foreclosures but can also put you in touch with pro bono attorneys and other legal resources. While we do not have a contract with Legal Services for the Elderly of WNY, we do connect people with this service as well the attorney general's office and national consumer protection bureau especially for cases of financial exploitation or scams.

For more information on legal services or to speak with someone who can help guide you, call NY Connects at 716-753-4582, 716-661-7582, 716-363-4582 or email
