At the March Chautauqua County Legislature meeting, the SUNY Jamestown Community College Jayhawks Men’s Hockey Team was officially recognized for an incredible 2025–2026 season. In just their second year of competition, the Jayhawks captured the Upstate New York Collegiate Hockey League (UNYCHL) Division 3 Championship, a milestone that has brought pride to both the college and the wider community.

Over seven months, the team dedicated more than 100 hours to practices, early mornings, and late nights, showing determination, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Their hard work paid off with an impressive 13-7-1 overall record and a perfect 7-0-1 divisional record, earning them first place in the UNYCHL Division 3 Central Division.

The season was marked by unforgettable moments, including a 9-3 season-opening victory against Alfred State, thrilling five-goal comebacks against Canisius and Niagara Community College, an 8-3 win during the annual Teddy Bear Toss against the University of Rochester, and a meaningful 3-2 victory against St. Bonaventure on Landon Strong Night.
