Michael Burham Sentenced to 25 Years to Life | DA Press Conference

On March 2, 2026, Jason Schmidt, District Attorney of Chautauqua County, held a press conference following the sentencing of Michael Burham. 

Burham, a 37-year-old man from Jamestown who is already incarcerated for kidnapping an elderly couple, was sentenced Monday in Chautauqua County Court. 

David Foley sentenced Burham to 25 years to life in prison after he pleaded guilty in January to first-degree murder in connection with the May 11, 2023 shooting death of Kala Hodgkin.
