Chautauqua County Officials to Discuss Program Integrity Unit Investigation

MAYVILLE, NY – Chautauqua County officials will hold a press conference Monday, June 29, 2026 at 12 p.m. regarding a joint investigation involving the Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services’ Program Integrity Unit, the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began after the Program Integrity Unit identified suspected irregularities involving temporary assistance benefits and referred the matter for law enforcement review. 

Officials will outline how the investigation was initiated, the coordination between agencies, and the safeguards in place to protect public assistance programs and taxpayer resources.
