FALCONER, NY - In a significant boost to local infrastructure, Chautauqua County is set to receive substantial funding as part of the statewide BRIDGE NY initiative.
This program, aimed at rehabilitating and replacing local bridges and culverts, has allocated over $484 million to support 216 projects across 137 communities in New York State. Among these, key projects in Chautauqua County have been earmarked for a total of $5.784 million in funding.

These events allow Chautauqua County residents to dispose of hazardous chemicals and used paint free of charge. Among some of the items accepted are used antifreeze, fluorescent tube lights, flammable adhesives, flammable solvents, paint thinner, mineral spirits, deck cleaners, non-empty aerosol cans, flammable floor polish, herbicides, pesticides, chemistry sets, paint and pool chemicals.
