Adult Day & Respite

Adult day programs offer a safe place for older adults to go from one to five days per week, where they can interact with their peers, participate in age appropriate activities, and get a good meal. Sometimes programs offer personal care and salon services, as well as health care services.  There are generally two types of Adult Day programs.  Social Adult Day programs offer a wide variety of activities; whereas Adult Day Healthcare is for people with significant health and mobility issues such as dementia or other health conditions.

For more information on Adult Day Services and Respite care options or to speak with someone who can guide you, call the local NY Connects Helpline at 716-753-4582 or 1-800-342-9871 or search the NY Connect State website. For out of state resources, visit Eldercare Locator.
