“This first-ever tri-county walk series is a chance for the Southern Tier to stand together, amplify our support for one another, and highlight the suicide prevention work happening across our communities,” said Carri Raynor, Director of the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County.

Each walk will include a brief program, remembrance activities, and a community walk designed to inspire connection, healing, and awareness. Walks are open to all and free to attend, but registration is encouraged.

🔹 Form a Team. Wear Your Colors. Walk for a Cause.

Community members are especially encouraged to gather a team, from workplaces, schools, churches, clubs, or neighborhoods, and walk together. Teams can choose to attend just the Chautauqua County walk or go the distance and join all three across the region.

“This is a great opportunity to show your school spirit, represent your business, honor a loved one, or simply take a stand for mental health,” said Raynor. “Bring a banner, wear matching shirts, carry a sign—whatever brings your team joy and purpose.”

Whether you walk to remember someone, to support someone struggling, or to be part of something hopeful, your steps matter. Let’s show that Hope Walks Strong in Chautauqua County.
