The Correctional Health Services Program at the Chautauqua County Jail has been awarded its Re-Accreditation Certificate by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and was recognized at the March 25th Chautauqua County Legislature Meeting.
This accreditation reflects a continued commitment to high-quality, efficient healthcare services within the correctional setting—strengthening operations and reducing risk while ensuring individuals receive appropriate care.
The Sheriff’s Office, Public Health, Correctional Health, and Mental Hygiene Departments work together to uphold these national standards, recognizing that the health of incarcerated individuals is a critical part of public health and public safety.
Sheriff Quattrone commended the team for their dedication, stating: “The Sheriff’s Office, our Public Health correctional health care and Mental Hygiene Departments are committed to quality standards based on correctional healthcare. The health of incarcerated people is a vitally important component of public health and public safety.”
Congratulations to all staff involved in maintaining this important accreditation!
