MAYVILLE, NY – The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene is inviting the community to take part in Mental Health Awareness Month this May through a series of engaging initiatives centered on the theme “Real Life. Real Support. Support looks different for everyone.”

Community members can participate in the annual Art Contest (April 1–May 8), join the Mental Health Rocks CHQ campaign by sharing messages of hope throughout the community, and access the 2026 Mental Health Awareness Month Toolkit for resources and ways to get involved.

These efforts aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and highlight the many ways support shows up in everyday life.
