9-11 Remembrance Ceremony

Chautauqua County Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. invites the public to join County officials, first responders, veterans, community leaders and fellow residents for the County’s Annual 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony, marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

📍 Location: Chautauqua County Courthouse, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville, NY

The ceremony will be held on the front steps of the Chautauqua County Courthouse. The public is invited to attend this solemn observance.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We honor the brave men and women who responded, served and made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as those who have since lost their lives to illnesses connected to 9/11.

We also remember the survivors, first responders, service members and others who continue to live with the physical and mental health consequences of that day and the years of service that followed.
