MAYVILLE, N.Y. – Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel has issued a statement in response to New York City’s lawsuit challenging the county’s emergency order prohibiting municipalities from bringing and housing migrants in the county.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A United Nation’s Ambassador is calling Chautauqua County home settling in Jamestown, N.Y. and offering counsel to local leaders.

MAYVILLE, N.Y. – On Tuesday, May 30 Chautauqua County Executive Paul “PJ” M. Wendel Jr. extended the county’s emergency order issued in response to the City of New York’s intentions to send migrants and asylum seekers to other counties.

Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel recently announced Chautauqua County Budget Director Kathleen Dennison will retire from her position effective June 2, 2023.

Dennison first began her career with the County on July 7, 2011 as a Principal Account Clerk with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. She was later appointed as an Accounting Supervisor, a position she held for two years, before being appointed as Budget Director for the Chautauqua County Department of Finance on Feb. 1, 2017.
