MAYVILLE, NY – Chautauqua County Sheriff James B. Quattrone and Executive Paul M. Wendel Jr. have released a joint statement on the Tragic Loss of Two Police Officers in Upstate New York:

Cody Boisvert, age 25 of Jamestown, was sentenced yesterday in Chautauqua County court by Judge David Foley to an determinate state prison sentenced of 3.5 years with 5 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2^nd degree, a class C violent felony. In July 2023, officers from the Jamestown Police Department observed Mr. Boisvert to be illegally in possession of a loaded hand gun. He pled guilty to the charge in December 2023.

Jimmy Watts, age 49 of Dunkirk, was sentenced yesterday, April 9^th, to a determinate state prison sentenced of 8 years with 5 years of post-release supervision by Judge David Foley after being convicted of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2^nd degree, a class C violent felony. In March 2023, the Dunkirk Police Department responded to a report of an individual waiving a gun and pointing it at patrons of a business on Lakeshore Drive in the City of Dunkirk.
