Paving Project Scheduled at Dunkirk DMV

DUNKIRK, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announces that paving work is scheduled to begin Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Dunkirk DMV office, located at 3998 Vineyard Drive.

Crews will work to complete the paving project in one day, though an additional day may be needed to complete pavement striping. The Dunkirk DMV building will remain accessible, and services will continue to be available during the project. However, parking will be limited while the work is underway.

In the event of inclement weather, the paving work may be delayed. Customers are encouraged to follow the Chautauqua County Clerk on Facebook for updates regarding the project and any potential schedule changes at Chautauqua County Clerk on Facebook. 

Customers who prefer to visit another location may use either the Mayville or Jamestown DMV office. Online DMV services are also available. Alternative DMV locations include:

The Dunkirk DMV office is located at 3998 Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk, NY 14048, and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Customers can access online DMV services and find additional information by visiting Chautauqua County DMV online services.
