MAYVILLE, N.Y – The Chautauqua County Health Department, in conjunction with the Village of Fredonia has lifted the conserve water order for all Village of Fredonia water customers, including customers within the Town of Pomfret. The storage tank water levels have been restored and are holding steady.

MAYVILLE, N.Y. — Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel issued the following statement in response to Heritage’s announcement regarding the planned closure of its Heritage Village skilled nursing facility in the Town of Gerry:
“The closure of Heritage Village is difficult news for the residents, families, and employees who have long been part of this community. Heritage Village has served Chautauqua County families for many years, and that legacy is important.

The Travel Advisory has been lifted. However, frigid temperatures and intermittent blowing snow may continue. Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling.
